The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is commemorated annually to denounce the violence that is exerted on women throughout the world and to demand policies and actions that allow its eradication. From AZTERLAN we join this request, with the commitment to work for an egalitarian society free of violence, and to collaborate in the visibility and awareness of this problem.
This year, the November 25th campaign reminds us that violence against women is not just their problem, but a problem for all of society, which it encourages to create a network and community around women who suffer gender-based violence. Under the slogan “It’s not just your problem, it’s ours” and featuring an image of a group of people supporting a victim of violence, the campaign calls on all of society to take action to prevent the “normalization” of gender-based violence.
