NADCAP accreditation update that certifies the technical capabilities of AZTERLAN for the advanced characterization of metallic materials within the aerospace industry

NADCAP accreditation update that certifies the technical capabilities of AZTERLAN for the advanced characterization of metallic materials within the aerospace industry.

Committed to offering a strategic support to the air and space companies by meeting the highest quality standards and requirements, AZTERLAN Technology Centre has renewed the NADCAP accreditation granted by the prestigious PERFORMANCE REVIEW INSTITUTE (PRI).

This accreditation reinforces the technological capabilities of AZTERLAN to respond to the needs of the aerospace industry, having a large number of collaboration experiences with leading companies such as AIRBUS, SIKORSKY, CESA, AERNNOVA or ITP Aero.

The knowledge and technical skills of AZTERLAN, relied on avant-garde equipment and facilities, enable the Centre to offer a wide range of services of advanced materials characterization, defect and service failure analysis as well as Non Destructive Testing; all of them oriented to boost the competitiveness level of companies.

In the same way, AZTERLAN collaborates with the aerospace industry in the development of new materials and processes through R&D projects. The HIPERTURB and RIB-ON projects (framed within the CleanSky 2 EU program oriented to the improvement of the environmental impact of European aeronautical sector) are a good example of the research efforts and capabilities from the Technology Centre.

Accreditations and certifications of AZTERLAN

AZTERLAN is also accredited by ENAC – Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (Spanish National Accreditation Organism) in compliance with the criteria defined in the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (CGA-ENAC-LEC) Standard for performing mechanical, metallographic, chemical, non-destructive and corrosion tests on metallic materials framed within the nº 59/LE069 scope.

The Technology Centre counts as well with the UNE 166002 R&D Management System certification which proves its capacities to perform Research and Development activities for the improvement of the competitiveness level of the industry.
