REVaMP exploitation workshop

A free hybrid (online and in-person) workshop to be held on October 19th 2023 will gather the main solutions developed within the REVaMP project funded by the European Union.

In the European metal making industry, large amounts of energy and resources are used, to a high percentage also secondary raw materials which strongly vary in their properties. This workshop organized by the REVaMP consotium will present sensors, equipment and software tools for process control which were developed within the project to characterize the charge materials and to optimize the corresponding melting processes:

➡️ Scrap analysis sensors for improved in-line analysis of metal scrap
➡️ Optimal feedstock selection for material and energy efficiency
➡️ Scrap preheating systems to enhance melting energy efficiency
➡️ Model-based software tools for optimal process monitoring and control.

The workshop will take place at the Fraunhofer-Institute for laser technology ILT in Aachen, Germany but online attendace will also be possible. Registration for on-line participation is required by 17.10.2023.

Registation is open here: https://www.bfi.de/en/2023/07/31/revamp-final-exploitation-workshop/
