The heat treatment sector faces the challenge of proposing highly innovative solutions that make it possible to improve the properties of the materials used to manufacture components for highly demanding industries such as aerospace, naval, and automotive sectors, achieving more durable, flexible, and lightweight materials.
The AZTERLAN Metallurgy Research Centre and the Tabira Foundry Institute, in collaboration with the industry specialized media outlet TRATER PRESS (Pedeca Press), are organizing the 9th Technical Heat Treatment Conference (TRATER DAY 2026), with the aim of addressing these challenges.
The main objective of this initiative is to improve the technological and competitive position of companies in the sector by presenting significant technological innovations derived from the latest developments in the field of heat treatments. This technical conference is positioned as a meeting point for professionals, technicians, and research teams specializing in the latest advances and innovations across different areas of the heat treatment industry (quenching technologies, surface treatments, characterization, measurement, coatings, etc.). It aims to bring together both leading companies in the sector and the strategic industries that apply these technologies (automotive, wind energy, railway, aerospace, foundry, among others).
This technical meeting will take place on November 19, 2026, at the AZTERLAN facilities (Durango), with the participation of renowned specialists in the field. The program will be gradually announced over the coming months.
