Laser Powder Bed Fusion Technology

Optimization of the balance between microstructure, process and in-service performance

Industry demands increasingly complex, lightweight and optimized components, capable of integrating new geometries, advanced functionalities and materials adapted to increasingly demanding service conditions. These challenges are further compounded by the need to reduce development times and optimize material consumption during manufacturing.

AZTERLAN has advanced metal manufacturing capabilities based on L-PBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) technology, which, combined with its capabilities in the development of ad-hoc metal alloys and metal powder production, enable supporting industries in the development and validation of new components manufactured using additive technologies.

AZTERLAN offers an integrated R&D solution based on the study of the interaction between material melting, powder production, L-PBF additive manufacturing, microstructure and in-service behavior, connecting the design of new concepts, development of feedstock materials, manufacturing of parts and prototypes, and their advanced characterization.
