Iron casting – Advanced training for Foundry Companies

Taught by iron casting technologies specialists from AZTERLAN, the Advanced Iron Casting Course reviews all relevant aspects to the industrial production of cast iron components.

Through 14 training modules (with durations between 2 and 8 hours) focused on the main phases of the iron casting process, this tutored training activity is aimed at professionals from companies in the sector with some experience or prior knowledge of manufacturing processes within the iron foundry industry.

Objectives of the course:

  • The complete course offers expert knowledge on every phase of the manufacturing process.
  • Each module allows to delve into the most important technical aspects for a correct management of the process.
  • The hole course offers an advanced and holistic vision of the entire iron casting process, allowing set relationships between the different phases of the process and understanding the close relationship between all subprocesses and the effects on the quality of the final product.

Even though the course is designed as a holistic piece of training, each module can be consumed independently. Anyway expert knowledge of the rest of the domains will be necessary to understand certain concepts.

Yes. After the training activity, whether has it been perfomed in person or through an online platform, alumni must comple an evaluation activity. 

AZTERLAN will offer the company:

  • A certificate for each alumni detailing the modules or topics they have participated in
  • The individual results of the evaluation activities performed

Currently, this activity is targeted at foundry companies as a way to stengthen the continuous training and the expertise of their workforce. 

The cost of the activity varies dependig on aspects such as: the amount of modules selected; the amount of people participating in the activity; whether the activity is held online, at AZTERLAN facilities or at customer company facilities; or the performance of other specific training activities consensuated between AZTERLAN and the customer company.
