Gray cast iron with superfine graphite, high primary austenite fraction and optimized mechanical properties

The present invention describes a flake graphitic cast iron with a chemical composition which allows obtaining superfine graphite and a large amount of primary austenite resulting in optimized mechanical properties. Particularly a higher amount of primary austenite and an intermediate graphite structure between the coral and type D flake distribution conferring high strength and low hardness to the material with relatively high equivalent carbons is achieved.
