The 2nd Carl Loper Cast Iron Symposium will review the latest advances and applications on cast iron
This international technical event organized by IK4-AZTERLAN Metallurgy Research Centre in conjunction with the American Foundry Society, the World Foundry Organization and the Tabira Foundry Institute, will gather more than 100 experts and foundry technicians from more than 20 countries through an extensive 2 full day program.
On September 30th and October 1st, IK4-AZTERLAN Metallurgy Research Centre will host the 2nd Carl Loper Symposium. An international technical event that will gather industry and academia professionals from more than 20 countries to discuss the latest advances and applications on Cast Iron technologies. The meeting will take place in the Euskalduna Congress Centre (Bilbao). An extraordinary technical program in two full working days divided into morning and afternoon sessions.
Named after late Professor Carl Loper, a prolific author of reference of technical and scientific publications in this field of knowledge, the event aims at building bridges between the foundry industry, the academia and the innovation agents by reviewing the fundamentals of cast iron and identifying the work lines that will foster the innovations of the upcoming years.
The program of the event will gather more than 40 contributed papers from leading academic and industrial communities; it will also include 4 invited Key Notes from first row industry professionals like J.
