IK4-AZTERLAN will present its most recent 4.0 soltutions for the metal-mechanic indutry at the BIEMH

The Metallurgy Research Centre will present its innovative predictive intelligence platform in this international trade fair which is a referent in Machine Tooling and Advanced Manufacturing.

From May 28th to June 1st IK4-Azterlan will take part in the internationally wellknown BIEMH trade fair at the Basque Industry 4.0 stand (4 Pabilion, Stand C37) along with other Basque organisations and technology centres.

A predictive intelligence system for metal transformation procesess

Developed by the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technological Solutions team from IK4-AZTERLAN, SENTINEL® is a predictive intelligence tool that, in real-time makes a multi-variable analysis of the more than 600 parameters involved in the metallurgical transformation process of any cast component being manufactured.

By means of this analysis, the SENTINEL® Platform predicts the final quality of the castings and if any failure or deviation is detected, sends the corresponding alarms and corrective proposals to the key equipment and workforce involved in the process.

Thus, the predictive intelligence platform SENTINEL® helps foundries and any other metal transformation industries to advance in the path of higher productivity and zero defects. These are some of the foundries that already deployed custom solutions of the platform: Sakthi Portugal (where the taylor-built solution is called Olimpo), Fuchosa S.L., Fundiciones Garbi S.A. and Betsaide S.A.L. (currently the platform is being deployed and adjusted).

Consejera Arantxa Tapia

Ph.D. Javier Nieves, researcher at IK4-Azterlan, presents the SENTINEL® Platform to Basque Government's Minister for Economic Development and Infrastructures, Mrs. Arantxa Tapia at the recently held Hannover Messe.
